^NewWithin the framework of the annual academic conference series "Russia in a Globalizing World" the Institute of Economy (IE RAS) organizes the international conference "Russia in Multipolar World Configuration" to be held on October 15-16, 2010.

On June 18, 2009 at the session of the Academic Council “International Economic and Political Studies” in the conference hall of IIEPS RAS the following research papers were discussed: Igor I. Orlik "Eurasianism: History and Contemporaneity" , Alexey B. Kupriyanov "Geopolitical Peculiarities of Caspian and Black Sea Region Within the International Relations Systems", Zarina A. Dadabayeva "Peculiarities of Political System Development in the Central Asia".

On April 16, 2009 in the IIEPS IE RAS conference hall (the fourth floor) the round-table “Institutional Analysis of the Chinese Model: Theoretical Discussion and Forecast” was held. The paper by S.G. Kirdina and L. I. Kondrashova concerning this subject was presented.

On March 12, 2009 at the session of the Academic Council “International Economic and Political Studies” in the conference hall of the IIEPS IE RAS the presentation of Dr. (Econ.), professor Alexander N. Bykov’s monograph “New Challenges of Globalization and Russia’s Integration Strategy” was held.

On May 14, 2008 the RAS Institute of Economy and the National Investment Council held the conference "Problems and Perspectives of Financial Interaction in the CIS Region" in the Red Hall of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

At the Institute of Economy RAS and the Institute for Economic Strategies the book "Economy and Social Environment: Unconscious Mutual Influence. Scientific Writings and Essays" will be published. Research Project Supervisor and Science Editor - Academician O.T. Bogomolov.

On April 22, 2008 at the session of the Economy Section for the RAS Department of Social Sciences discussion of the statement "Methodology of Post-Communist Transformations Multi-Level Analysis" made by Svetlana P.Glinkina, Deputy Director, the Institute of Economy RAS was held.

On April 17, 2008 in the DIEPS IE RAS conference-hall at the session of the Academic Council "International Economic and Political Studies" the discussion of the statement made by Lidiya S.Kossikova, Ph.D. (Econ.), leading researcher "Integration Projects of Russia in Post-Soviet Space: Ideas and Practice" was held.

On April 3, 2008 in the conference-hall of DIEPS IE RAS at the session of the Academic Council "International Economic and Political Studies" the debates on the statement "Modernization of the CIS Countries’ Economies: National, Regional and Global Factors" were held. Presenter – Ph.D. (Econ.) Alexey V. Shurubovich, co-presenter Dr. (Econ.) Elena B.Lenchuk.

On March 27, 2008 the Centre of Political Studies held a round table "Post-Soviet Space: Realities and Perspectives" in the conference hall of the Department of International Economic and Political Studies RAS (DIEPS RAS).
