In the book the geopolitical situation of the Central Asia at the present stage is analysed. In the first section are esteemed the geographic, historical, ethnic and socio-cultural features of the region. In the chaters of the second unit are esteemed the problems of political and social and economic development of the slates of Central Asia, the regional security, and also problems and capabilities of Central Asian integration. The separate section is devoted to geopolitical interaction of these countries with the global and regional leaders: China, USA, EU, Afganistan, Iran, India, Turkey and Pakistan. Special attention on the author is paid to interaction of Russia with the region's countries and its possibilities of using geopolitical and economic position in cooperation with the Central Asian states.
