The current study focuses on exploring the specific ways of formation of the institutional basis for anti-monopoly activities and competition policies in the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe. The report describes major directions of these institutions’ development and their convergence with regulations in force in the developed market economies (EU). The study summarizes the practices of anti-monopoly activities and attempts to estimate the efficiency of these measures within the context of policies aimed at the development of competitive environment in the countries of the region. The book also presents an outline of the current stage of reforms of natural monopolies in specific Central and South-East European countries.
